Catchment Brewing Co – Your Craft Beer Specialists

By Brent Thomas

When you walk through the front door at 150 Boundary Street in West End, straight away you can see this is something a little different from your average neighbourhood bar.The Catchment Brewing Co was dreamt up in a friendship conceived by community; Allana & Chris met Katie & Nick while their children attended Kindergarten together in West End, Brisbane. Over dinner and a few drinks, they came up with the idea that West End should have its very own local brewery. Upon sharing this idea with their friends and work colleagues it was clear that they weren’t alone in it, and The Catchment Brewing Co was born.

They decided 150 Boundary Street was the perfect location and went about a complete restoration. With the help of legendary brewers, bartenders, and of course chefs they opened the doors on the 28th of November 2015. The Catchment Brewing Co was inspired by and created to celebrate their local community and the inherently social beverage that is locally brewed beer. The Catchment Brewing Co’s story has quickly spread, and they are now supplying several venues around Brisbane. At The Catchment Brewing Co you can enjoy a frosty beer while you watch the next batch brewing away. The fermentation vessels are just meters away while you tuck into your favourite meal in either the Jacaranda or Brewery Lane dining spaces.

The menu was created to complement the host of beautiful fermented libations on offer, and it changes with the season and the chef’s whim. There is one thing that never changes and that is the quality of the meal. No average pub food here…just fresh, seasonal and delicious gourmet meals, served with your choice of beverage.
