Ray White Apartment Collective sees dozens under the hammer

By Luke O'Kelly

MORE THAN 40 properties across Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia will go under the hammer between 14-18 October for Ray White’s second Apartment Collective.

The initiative is designed to create competition across certain capital cities in Australia with one of the leaders of the Collective, Ray White Network Performance Executive Benjamin Burling, calling the event “a point of difference.”

“The initiative offers both buyers and sellers something totally different, with a focus solely on the inner-city apartment market,” Mr Burling said.

“The event is structured to attract a range of active apartment buyers from across Australia in multiple locations.

32/29 George Street in Brisbane City.

“It’s a real opportunity for vendors to see the whole market and have the whole market see their property in a truly competitive environment, creating a really dynamic atmosphere.

“There’s a real appetite for this type of marketing with sellers as they’re determined to move their stock and are looking for a different strategy over the usual private treaty method.

“There’s also a very active market for well-marketed and well-priced apartments in the city market place.”

Ray White West End Principal Luke O’Kelly, Brisbane CBD Principal Dean Yesberg, City Residential (Perth) Principal/Auctioneer Brent Compton and Southbank | Port Phillip Principal Andrew Salvo said the event was an excellent way to energize buyers and sellers.

7/296 Newcastle Street in Perth.

“The focus of the Apartment Collective for our clients is to generate a buzz around the apartment market and to generate increased buyer activity which will then result in higher price outcomes for our clients,” Mr O’Kelly said.

“For example, we have five two-bedroom apartments for sale in our 4101-postcode. If a buyer doesn’t like an apartment, we can then direct them to another apartment which may suit them better.”

“The two units in Club Lodge at 29 George Street in Brisbane are interesting ones and are creating huge interest,” Mr Yesberg said.

“Club Lodge is a 40-year-old building with 52 units that sit on a 2403sq m* block of land directly across the road from the new $4BN Queen’s Wharf casino project.

40903/50 Duncan Street in West End, Queensland.

“The opportunity is not only buying a great old unit and getting good returns, it’s the possibility that a developer will at some stage down the track look to amalgamate the site.”

“The Apartment Collective really highlights Ray White’s commitment and belief in the Perth inner-city marketplace,” Mr Compton said.

“We have three apartments going under the hammer on the night with all properties having strong buyer interest.

“Apartment buyers and sellers are thrilled as the Auction Collective night gives both parties the best possible environment to achieve a result.

505/442 Elizabeth Street in Melbourne.

“There’s no better option or process available in Perth to sell your property than by selecting a highly skilled Ray White City Residential Perth agent, coupled with a tailored marketing campaign and competitive auction day, to get a premium price in a respectable time frame.”

“The auction process cuts through the awkwardness. It’s a fun night with multiple auctions and a full room of people. There’s genuine tension and mystery in the air. That’s the atmosphere that successful auctions need,” said Ray White Southbank | Port Phillip Principal Andrew Salvo.

“We get so much efficiency out of this process as we can fully utilise weekends to get as many people through properties as possible and the Auction Collective event is no different.”
